"Roughsleeping is Not a Lifestyle Choice!" - Brooks Newmark on BBC2

Having been a longstanding social reform campaigner, Brooks Newmark appeared on the BBC2 Jeremy Vine Show to counter Home Secretary Suella Braverman’s plan to ban rough sleeping. As a Member of the Government’s Advisory Board on Rough Sleeping, Brooks Newmark argued against demonisation of the homeless and the simple solutions for the homelessness crisis. Brooks Newmark used this opportunity to advocate his proposed Housing First model, as implemented in Scandinavia, to guarantee basic safety and stability of homeless people.
