Black Notley Association has applied for funding from The People's Millions and will be going head-to-head with another project on Anglia News on the 27th November. On the day of the broadcast, the public can call in to vote for which project they think deserves to win the funding.
The Black Notley Community Pool Project will improve the local pool and changing rooms to provide a valuable recreational resource for the whole community. The pool will be retiled, changing rooms refurbished and a new safety cover and filter system installed.
Brooks said, 'It would be such a shame if Black Notley had to lose its swimming pool, which is used by young and old alike in the community. I fully support its bid for funding and I'm very much looking forward to watching Anglia News on the 27th November. I shall be picking up the phone to vote and I wholeheartedly hope that many of you do to.'
The People's Millions is a UK wide programme, awarded by The Big Lottery Fund, to fund projects that improve the quality of life of local communities through transforming the local environment, or provide opportunities or facilities for enjoying the local area.
