Brooks visits new Fire and Rescue Service headquarters

On Friday 10th October Brooks Newmark visited the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service's new headquarters at Kelvedon ParkOn Friday 10th October Brooks Newmark visited the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service's new headquarters at Kelvedon Park.

The new headquarters is designed to improve both the efficiency and effectiveness of our local Fire and Rescue Service. Having outgrown their previous site at Hutton, the ECFRS has moved to its new premises to develop a training and management centre to support its ambitions of becoming an excellent-rated fire and rescue service.

Brooks visited the new headquarters with eight other Essex MP's, hosted by Vice Chairman of the Fire Authority, Councillor Ann Holland. After a tour of the station, Brooks was able to meet the staff and chat informally with Chief Fire Officer David Johnson and members of ECFRS' Senior Management Board on matters ranging from community safety to planning for the 2012 Olympics.

Brooks says, 'it's always encouraging to see our emergency services developing and striving for excellence. The new headquarters for the ECFRS represents an excellent step for our local services as we look forward to a continually increasing quality of fire and rescue services in Essex'.
