Brooks Newmark has proudly nominated Keith Sutton MBE as his local 'hero' at the annual MP Heroes Awards. Braintree MP, Brooks Newmark, has proudly nominated Keith Sutton MBE as his local 'hero' at the annual MP Heroes Awards.
Each year MPs are given the opportunity to present an MP Heroes Award to a senior citizen in their constituency whom they feel has worked hard to make a difference by volunteering in their local community.
This year, Brooks felt Keith Sutton MBE was the perfect choice.
Keith is a familiar face to many of the young people of Braintree. He has spent years guiding and supporting our local youngsters, engaging with them at a crucial and often difficult time in their lives. Keith provides young people with inspirational vocational training, using his extensive knowledge of manufacturing, technology, engineering and teaching to pass valuable skills onto the next generation.
Brooks says "at a time when many of us are worrying about the state of British society, Keith is an inspiration to us all. He sets a sterling example to both the community and the youngsters he works with, of just what can be achieved through compassion, hard work and dedication".
Brooks says "it almost seems the term 'hero' was meant for Keith. He works tirelessly with the young people of our area, showing boundless energy and enthusiasm. It is quite humbling to think of the numbers that have been touched by Keith's work over the years. I am delighted to present Keith with this Contribution to the Community Award in recognition of his outstanding achievements and tireless efforts within our local community. I congratulate him for all that he has accomplished."
The MP Heroes Awards are organised by the Experience Corps, a company that facilitates relationships between people, the private and public sectors. They are designed to show recognition and appreciation to the unsung heroes of our communities.
