Law & Order

Under Labour, crime has soared, especially violent crime. In our area alone violent crime is up over 100%. I want to see more police on the streets of Braintree and Witham and greater police visibility in our rural communities. Fear of crime is the number one concern on the doorstep, especially amongst pensioners and women.

Our immigration and asylum system has collapsed. Over a million illegal immigrants have entered Britain since Labour came to power. Whilst we all believe that individuals genuinely fleeing persecution should be given refuge, the reality is that too many people are abusing our asylum and immigration system. I therefore support limits on immigration and the quick deportation of bogus asylum seekers.
