Brooks Newmark: The Government’s long-term economic plan is working, Chancellor has reduced spending, the deficit, taxes and unemployment.
Speaking in the House of Commons, Brooks Newmark tells MPs that the Government’s long-term economic plan is the only way to raise living standards, help families to manage the cost of living, and offer a better and brighter economic future for the country.
Speaking in a debate on youth employment, Brooks Newmark welcomes Government action to reduce youth unemployment through a variety of policies in combination.
Brooks Newmark welcomes creation of over 1.7 million private sector jobs and urges Prime Minister to continue putting job creation at the heart of the Government's policies.
Speaking in Prime Minister’s Questions, Brooks Newmark highlights the fact that the service, manufacturing and construction sectors are all growing at 3% plus and that the economy is well on the road to recovery and rebalancing as well.
Brooks Newmark backs the Government’s Finance Bill and welcomes the raising of the personal allowance to £10,500 which will take 3.2 million people out of tax altogether and help 26 million families with an extra £800 per year.
Speaking in the Budget debate in the House of Commons, Brooks Newmark welcomes the Budget as a Budget for the makers, the doers, and the savers. He says, “our long-term economic plan is slowly but surely beginning to pay dividends.”
Speaking in the Budget debate, Brooks Newmark welcomes increaaed business confidence which gives business owners confidence to invest and expand their businesses and the rise in the personal allowance to £10,500 which will save up to 3 million individuals £800 per year.

Brooks Newmark highlights the Government’s successes in helping young people back into work and especially the abolition of the jobs tax for under-21s.
