Brooks Newmark to Jewish News: ‘Ukraine has no Iron Dome – it needs equipment to defend itself’

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Brooks Newmark has made supporting Ukraine and its people a central part of his humanitarian and philanthropic work. What began with helping evacuate thousands of civilians from villages and towns threatened by Russian forces, developed into the creation of Angels in Ukraine, which has delivered humanitarian assistance, including food, clothing and medical supplies, to communities close to the frontline. The charity has also established a PTSD-training programme in co-operation with Ukraine’s Departments of Health and Education, helping provide psychological support and training for schools across the country.

Having received Ukraine's Order of Merit awarded to him by President Zelensky, Newmark continues to argue that Western support must be measured not only in words, but in practical action and the equipment Ukraine needs to defend itself.
